Halil Altındere - “Bunun bir sergi olduğundan emin değilim / I’m not sure if this is an exhibition”

Altındere’s installation involved closing of the actual gallery space and placing a wax sculpture of a well-known personality of the street the gallery is on. The reproduction of the late “Handlebar-Moustached Poet” who had become a part of İstiklal  Street and almost a symbol of the area, and the exhibition of this reproduction on the street were related to taking part in a certain energy-rhythm, as much as they were to the memory of the space.
