Here I Am: Zeki Müren (İzmir)

Debuting on 18 November 2014 at the Yapı Kredi Culture Centre, Istanbul, and enjoying record-breaking visitor numbers, the “Here I am: Zeki Müren” exhibition later toured Ankara and Bodrum, and now continues in Izmir. As the site that launched Zeki Müren’s stage career, this is one of the most important stops for the exhibition.

The exhibition attesting to details of different stages in his life from childhood onwards gathers close to 10,000 photographs, drawings, costumes, records, poems, notes and archive images, in other words, a vast selection of memorabilia from a full life. The exhibition in Izmir that had such a special place in Zeki Müren’s life will also showcase his notes on the city and photos taken here.
